Spirits of the Sea is the only ocean painting I have ever done. This vision began at the top of a pass located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. There are many stories of dolphins amongst native peoples. While dolphins are not a part of my spiritual ways of the plains, they are significant to other native nations in the USA, especially along the coastline. “Spirits of the Sea” shows the coming together of the spirits that exist on the land and in the ocean. The painting captures both the essence of the ancient stories as well as the magic the exists in our seas.
